Team Colour Challengen No 1

Hi there
Sorry I have been away for such a long time.

My lovely upline Jenny has come up with a new idea which is a colour challenge for those of us in our team who are able to play along. We are allowed to create whatever we like be that a 3-D item, tag, card, scrapbook layout but we have to adhere to the colours she has given. This is our first ever colour challenge and she picked Basic Grey , Pear Pizzaz and Bermuda Bay. I have added white as my neutral and although I would never have put these colours together I am really pleased with how well they worked. The card layout was inspired by one I saw online ages ago and I love how bold the design looks in this colour combination.

There are so many new Stampin Up goodies available now from the the new annual catalogue and the brand new seasonal catalogue.  All catalogue items and also the brand new My Digital Studio computer software are now available  to purchase immediately through my online store HERE  Please contact me if you wish to receive any of the current publications or wish to place an order.

I will try and upload more details of the wonderful exciting things that are now on offer later this week.

Stampin Up French Foliage Stamp Set

Today I am featuring a simple card I have made using one of my all time favourite Stampin Up sets.
This set is called French Foliage and I have done numerous classes using this beautiful set of images. It is currently on the Retiring List in USA so pretty soon it will no longer be available. I have to say a large number of my customers have bought this set over the past 2-3 years and they all love it as much as I do. This is one of those sets that I will be keeping for myself regardless of the fact it won't be in the new catalogue which comes out in July.

This quick and easy card was created by simply adding two strips of torn computer paper across the top section and then sponging various greens and yellows inks to create the wave of colour

I then removed the torn paper and stamped the leaves and splatters in Stazon Black Ink over the colour wave. The stamped panel was then embossed using the woodgrain embossing folder and mounted onto a Basic Black base card. Quite a striking card and produced in minutes which is perfect when you need a card in a hurry.

Now then how about some fantastic Stampin Up news. . . .

As of today I now have a brand new Stampin Up website where you can go to browse all current catalogues, see all the latest offers from Stampin Up and the best bit of all is that you can place Stampin Up orders with me anytime night or day directly on the site. Those customers in my Stampers Group will still order with me personally once a month but for all of you who like to place additional orders can do this whenever you choose.

Please head off over there and bookmark my site today.

Stampin Up Regionals 2013 General Swap Card

Hi there, three blog posts in a week...this must be a record for me in the past year.
Here is the card I made for my general swaps for our Stampin' Up! Regional event at Telford last weekend.
I made a WOW team swap and designed a shoebox swap for each of the Bloomin Buds team members that attended this event last Saturday but also need a swap idea for general swapping with some of the other demonstrators who attended. As we already knew there would be over 300+ taking part I quickly realised that there was no way I could make a swap for everyone so I just made 56 of these emboss resist cards. One for each of the Buds who were there and 50 for general swapping.

My base card is Early Expresso followed by Pool Party and Primrose Petals for the two embossed layers. This was topped by a further layer of Early Expresso onto which I adhered my stamped piece(using the beautiful Postage Due stamp set , thanks Jill) . To achieve the coloured effect I first used a Versamark clear inkpad and heat embossed the image using Clear Embossing Powder. Once this had cooled ever so slightly I sponged over the Pool Party and Primrose Petals colours using a sponge and then buffed up the embossed images using a soft cloth to remove the excess ink. I then simply added an Early Expresso Stitched grosgrain ribbon and mounted the whole panel onto dimensionals for added height. A tiny rhinstone was added to a die cut layeredflower and this completed my simple card.

I hope everyone who swapped with me liked my little offering.

Stampin Up Regionals are the best . . . . .

Hi there
I bet you cannot believe I am posting for the second time in a week ? Well neither can I hee hee

I am back from an incredible weekend away with some 300+ Stampin' Up! demonstrators from Scotland, Uk and Ireland who all attended and SU regional event in Telford .

I am a member of the Bloomin Buds Team and our upline is the lovely Jenny Moors from Poole in Dorset. Six of us from the team met at a lovely Premier Inn near the venue and we spent the afternoon and late into the night crafting together and we had a blast. How we have never been asked to leave due to noise levels I will never know because we are always in fits of laughter and somewhat rowdy when we get together. We each brought a shoebox swap with us and we had all made a WOW swap for the rest of the team too. There can be nothing better than sat around a table doing what we love with a bunch of like minded team members.  Our next big get together for the team will be at Convention in Manchester in November so if you would love to be part of the craziest team around the dont hesitate to get in touch and ask for more information about joining us.

So here are a few of our team swaps

And here are a selection of swaps I received in return for my own general swap card ( I have misplaced my own sample so will have to locate it and share it with you possibly tomorrow.

As always I am blown away by the quality of these swaps and love each any every one of them. I am so grateful to all of the other demos who happily share their talents and ideas. Thank you to every person who was kind enough to swap with me. I am inspired.

Welcome 2013...........the wanderer finally returns

Well I simply cannot believe how long it is since I last updated my blog. For those of you that have persevered with following me even though it has been some months....thank you so much.I truly do not know where the past 3 months have gone and I am quite ashamed that I deserted my blog and my followers. My crafting life has had to take a bit of a back seat lately and although I have been busy with my regular weekly classes I have not been able to focus on my blog, browsing or crafting just for me. I have just been ticking over and am now coming back to face the New Year with fresh eyes and hopefully with renewed energy.

This card is one from my upcoming Pleasant Poppies class. I have used a gorgeous new embossing folder which is coming in the new Seasonal Catalogue which goes live on 1st February. I have used the combination of Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Raspberry Ripple and this gives this class a lovely fresh and crisp look. This class is for the week commencing 4th Feb so if you are interested in attending please contact me for details of class spaces.  In addition I am now offering additional class sessions at my local library on Wednesday mornings and as this is a lovely new group I do have spaces available.

I will hopefully be back tomorrow to share another card with you
